US for the 28th Annual Hospice Foundation Golf Scramble on
Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, beginning with a shotgun start at 1
p.m. This year's tournament, played on two private courses
in Pebble Beach, will raise funds for local end-of-life care
organizations. Please call for details on the

Tournament Earmarks Proceeds
Typically selling out months in advance, the Hospice
Foundation Golf Scramble attracts business and community
leaders from the Central Coast and throughout California.
Chaired in 2010 by Peter Butler II, Joann Dost and Mike
Kelly, the
event is expected to raise more than $150,000 in net
proceeds.
Tournament Play
Teams of fivesomes make up the field of players in the
Scramble. First and second place teams with the best net
score in each of four flights are awarded prizes. Low gross
winners are listed on The Pius Cup, a bronze bust of the
late Chuck Pius, a tournament founder.
Prizes are also awarded
for closest to the pin and longest drive. Two hole-in-one
prizes at different designated holes are available: a new
Lexus, courtesy of Lexus Monterey Peninsula, and a classic
Rolex watch, courtesy of Hesselbein's Jewelers, Carmel.
Players will pick up their box lunch beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Tournament play begins at 1 p.m.
A hosted cocktail party, a banquet, and silent and live
auctions follow the round.
Tournament Fees, Sponsorships
The tournament entry fee is $400, and includes green
fees, cart, box lunch, course beverages, cocktails and banquet
dinner. A special support category, entitled Player
Sponsor, is available for $1,000. A Player Sponsor
receives special program recognition, play on the Shore
Course, and preferred dinner
seating. Corporate, business or personal sponsorships
with a variety of recognition levels are available and range
