In-home hospice care for adults in Monterey and San Benito counties and “We Honor Veterans” outreach to U.S. military veterans, a special collaboration with Hospice of Santa Cruz County.  This also funds multi-lingual outreach to Latinos, traditionally an underserved population in hospice.

As with other Medicare-reimbursed hospice grant recipients, this funding helps CCVNA & Hospice, Inc. close the widening gap between what it costs to provide care and what the organization is paid for its hospice patient care from Medicare, MediCal or private insurance.  This funding strengthens VNA’s ability to meet the needs for hospice patient care and grief support throughout Monterey and San Benito counties without reducing quality or quantity of care and services.
