Jacob’s Heart Children’s Cancer Support Services

Jacob’s Heart Children’s Cancer Support Services will share a collaborative grant totalilng $225,000 this year with Children’s Hospice and Palliative Care Coalition/Partnership for Children, and Coastal Kids Home Care.  This funding makes it possible for these three nonprofits to work together to provide a full range of care and services or critically and terminally ill children, and their families.

When the illness is cancer, the stress, anxiety, fear, and uncertainty profoundly affect the entire family.  As these families face difficult decisions about their child’s treatment and care, parents often feel overwhelmed with feelings that there is no where to turn for help. This funding helps families bridge these challenges as Jacob”s Heart and its collaborative partners provide information, support, counseling and other vital services.
