Hospice Giving Foundation is committed to sound financial management and investment practices. We retain professional consultation to strategically manage investments, diversify our portfolio to promote growth, and maintain spending policies that preserve funds in order to support services into perpetuity.

Through revenue generated by individual donors and special events, Hospice Giving Foundation awards grants to agencies that provide end-of-life care to individuals and families living in Monterey and San Benito Counties. Funding priorities are hospice care, palliative care, grief and bereavement support, and education regarding end-of-life planning and preparation.

When the generosity of individuals make it possible, largely realized through bequests and planned gifts, we are able to provide funding for programs beyond basic services, those programs that provide ground-breaking strategies to transform the system of care for end-of-life or expand accessibility to services. In addition, when funding allows, Hospice Giving Foundation serves as a catalyst for new programs and public policy that improve the scope of services in our community. Through donor advised funding, Hospice Giving Foundation is able to direct support to specific areas of interest, such as a particular hospice provider, Alzheimer’s or HIV-AIDS care, and services for terminally ill children.

Hospice Giving Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and donations are tax deductible in accordance with current IRS regulations.  Tax ID#94-2404634.
