Become a Member of Hospice Foundation . . .
community is the sum of its members--families, neighbors,
friends, the shopowner, the postmaster, the school teacher,
the spiritual leader, and the children. At any time,
any one of these members can be affected by a
life-threatening illness or may be trying to cope with the
loss of a loved one.
Adrienne's grandfather was the apple of her eye. T hey
enjoyed doing many things together. After her
grandfather died, Adrienne, 12, was so sad, she could barely
function in school and at home. Her mother was very
worried about her. She called Griefbusters, a local
program funded by your membership in Hospice Foundation, to
help her daughter. Over time and with counseling,
Adrienne became stronger emotionally and her grades
improved. Today, at 18, Adrienne is doing well.
Sometimes these situations touch us personally, and
sometimes they don't. But universally we will all be
affected by these things, at some time or another.
embership
in Hospice Foundation makes you part of a very special
community--one that shares an understanding of how hospice
care and bereavement support can make a difference in the
lives of so many people around us, including our own family.
It goes beyond the sum of its parts--it defines the essence
of what a community is about--caring, compassion, and
support for our families, neighbors, friends and
associates...every day.
