Nautilus Endowment Fund

Many donors choose to express their support or their favorite causes through the process of planned giving.  Planned giving can offer significant benefits to both the donor and the organization.

Hospice Foundation has set up the Nautilus Endowment Fund for those donors who are interested in setting up an endowment, which can provide significant tax-saving benefits and at the same time help secure high-quality end-of-life care services long into the future.

An endowment gift is permanently restricted and invested, with the interest earnings used to support hospice and related end-of-life care services. A Chambered Nautilus Endowment Fund can be established with an initial minimum gift of $25,000 in cash or stocks.  You receive an immediate tax-deduction for the calendar year in which your gift is made or, if you prefer, your deduction can be deferred over a five-year period.  Other benefits:

You can direct your gift to the greatest need in the Foundation’s grant-making activities, or it can be restricted to support one or more of the following special-interest funds:

  • Foundation Fund. Helps Hospice Foundation fund a spectrum of end-of-life care services.
  • Care for the Caregiver. Supports services that provides respite help to a spouse or other family member while they take time to refresh their spirit.
