General Donation
his is a donation made to support Hospice Foundation’s mission in general, that is, to become part of the pool of funds that make up the grants that support the community’s network of end-of-life care programs and services. If you wish, you can designate your donation to benefit a particular program, such as hospice care at Westland House, or a particular grantee. In these cases, Hospice Foundation simply acts as a pass-through agent, sending the full donation to the grantee, and you are still considered a Hospice Foundation donor.  For more information, click here.

Memorial Donation
hese donations are made in honor or in memory of someone. A card announcing your gift (with the amount kept confidential) is sent to the person honored, or to the family of the individual remembered and you receive a receipt for your tax records . This is a wonderful way to express your condolences to the family and acknowledge their loss. Your name is then listed in the Foundation’s Spring or Annual Report publication, as well as the name of the person remembered.  For more information, click here.

Trees of Life
his is a special holiday commemoration program whereby you can dedicate a light to honor or remember someone. Each light makes up the Trees of Life, which are placed on rooftops in Monterey, Salinas, Hollister and King City throughout the holidays. They are visible symbols of remembrance at the holidays. Estate Gifts
ou can make a gift of real estate or other assets to support Hospice Foundation’s mission. It can be used to specifically benefit a particular program, to become part of the Foundation’s endowment, or for general grant-making. Please see our Legacy section  to explore some of the many tax-saving options available to you.
